Who is is suitable for?

Anyone with a need for skin tightening will benefit from this treatment. 

Skin usually starts to sag and lose collagen during our late 20's, and every year our body produces 1% less collagen.

The treatment can be performed on any skin type and colour.

How many treatments do I need?  

For the quickest results, we recommend a course of 6-8 treatments performed twice per week for 3-4 weeks, followed by a maintenance session every 4-6 weeks to maximise results. However, if time is an issue, you can have weekly treatments over 6-8 weeks.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is the safe, controlled system of intense exfoliation and resurfacing using ultra-fine medical-grade crystals to rejuvenate the skin. The crystals work as a gentle abrasive on the skin to remove dead skin cells layer by layer. The irregular shape of the crystals help to work hard to reach areas without any damage to the skin. The treatment is progressive and you will continue to see results over the course of the treatment.

The vacuum action draws away used crystals and dead skin cells and also works to stimulate the circulation within the skin and increase production of collagen and elastin, resulting in a firmer, more youthful looking skin.

Microdermabrasion can be used for all skin types on all areas of the face and body. 

A course of 6-8 treatments is recommended, usually performed every 7-10 days. People with acne or acne scarring may need more treatments, up to a maximum of 20. We recommend a monthly maintenance treatment after a course to maintain results achieved. 

What will my skin feel like after treatment?

You can return to your normal lifestyle immediately after treatment. The skin may feel tight with mild redness but this usually subsides within 24 hours of treatment.

What does the treatment involve?

Skin is cleansed and exfoliated prior to application of Dermalux Phototherapy to a single body area for an application time of 20 minutes.
